Let's try again

Well, I first started this blog last March when I first went to Uruguay on my first Mission trip. I am again off to Uruguay. I leave Friday, Oct 30th. I get back home Nov 9th.
The trip in March was great. We built a dorm, added onto a dorm, at the Teen Challenge center there. Teen Challenge being a Christian drug & alcohol rehab program, but not just for teens.
This trip I will be going with a group from a different church. The focus of this trip is to put up some fence around one side of the farm the teen challenge has. I will be working at the teen challenge center, building new cabinets for the kitchen.
I expect this to be a great trip, and give all glory to God for working out the details and providing the funds through various donors.
I'll try to update a couple times while I'm there. The internet didn't work the last trip, hopefully it will be this time.

My First entry

Hello all. It is currently 7:13 pm EST. This is my first entry. On Thursday I will be embarking on an awesome adventure. This past October they announced at my church that a group of men would be going to Montevideo, Uruguay to help to complete a building for the Teen Challenge there. I immediately knew I was meant to go. Total cost, $1800. Total money I had, $0. God would have to provide. I was not sure how this would work. I also needed a passport, from Canada. I could raise support, send letters to people "asking" for money. Wasn't a fan of this. A lady from the church approached me about doing some work for her and she'd give me $200 for the trip. WOW!!! We also talked about support raising. She helped me to see what a blessing it can be for those who give.
Passport Canada sent my application back 2 times because they didn't like the pics I sent. Finally that came through, and I had more than all the money by time February came. So awesome, and all Glory to God.
We leave for the Detroit airport around 10:30 on Thursday, fly out of Detroit at 2:30 to Miami. We get to visit there for about 5 1/2 hours till we leave around 11 pm for a 9 or 10 hour flight to Uruguay.
There are 11 of us going all together. We will be constructing a block building, added onto an existing building. The floor and foundation are already there, so we get the easy work. We believe greater building will be done for the kingdom of God during the build in the lives of the students, and in church services we'll be attending. Keep us in your prayers.

I do not know how much time for sure I'll have to post while there, but I hope to a few times. We return home sometime late on the 14th. If I can I will also post pics of the adventure.

Thank you all for reading and supporting us with your prayers.
